I never rent anywhere but here! Pete and the rest of his crew are always helpful and get me on the road faster than anywhere I've ever rented from before. I have rented over 20 cars here, and never had a problem. Highly recommend!
At the end of the rental, if you are entitled to a refund, the location will release the funds immediately. Due to bank processing times, this could be delayed a couple days, but we find that typically customers have their refund within 15 business day.
Some Enterprise Rent-A-Car locations may accept debit cards, pre-paid cards, or other forms of payment to secure the rental transaction. To reserve a vehicle without a major credit card, please contact the local office directly.
At the time of rental, a debit card must be presented with available credit, in the renter's name. In addition to the anticipated cost of the rental, an additional security deposit may be required. To find out the cost of the security deposit, you will need to contact the location directly.
Our experience with Enterprise in Poughkeepsie NY was superior. We took the Metro North out of New York City to the end of the line - Poughkeepsie. Enterprise staff picked us up and brought us to their store where their efficient service had us in the perfect vehicle and on our way very quickly. We were pleasantly surprised that staff went over the vehicle's controls (windshield wiper, lights, cruise, etc.) before we left. We rent cars often and that's the first time staff have reviewed controls, a welcome addition.
The signature on the back must match the name imprinted on the card and the signature on the rental agreement.

The rest of the trip went smoothly, including a phone call when the changes oil light came on. When we returned the vehicle, the staff were just as friendly and efficient as when we arrived, returning us to the train station without a hitch. A great experience with friendly, capable, organized staff!
We were visiting our new world headquarters of Jehovah's Witnesses in Warwick New York, just recently. We've rented a car from the Poughkeepsie Enterprise location before and did again on this trip. The staff has always been so helpful and courteous. They always have gone above and beyond to make sure everything goes right. Our thanks to them.
Service is fairly good at this location. However, I was informed that I couldn't use my debit card the next time I come in to rent a vehicle. Not sure why when their website clearly states they accept major credit cards or debit cards. They didn't give me a reason why. See their policy below.
